Product Directions
Get A Match Grade Finish On Your Brass
We constantly try to make tumbling your brass easier and better.  So the following is the latest and the greatest:

First tumble your brass without media
Then run it through the seperator to shake out the dirt
You will not believe how much junk comes out of the cases when you do that
Clean your tumbler bowl with a shop-vac and then with some kind of
cleaner, solvent, greased lightening, etc

Then put the cases in first
Then turn on the tumbler
Then slowly add media until the cascading effect is at its peak
Turn off tumbler
Then add Media Modifier Product
Put the top back on and turn the tumbler on

The cases need to be touching throughout the cleaning process
to get them really clean and get the process done quickly

AFTER YOU ARE FINISHED CLEAN OUT THE TUMBLER BOWL AGAIN
WITH A SHOP VAC THEN WITH SOME CLEANER IT WILL EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR MEDIA

From time to time we receive e-mails and phone calls from customers who, using Media Modifier Products for the first tme, get poor results.  The four main reasons that customers get poor results are:

1.  Customers add additional Media Modifier products to media that we initially pretreated for them. We try and put the directions on a separate label on the side of the bag informing customers about the media that they purchased.

2.  Customers, when using Ultra-60 and their media, do not use a 50-50 mix of walnut media and corn cob media.  To date the 50-50 formula works better than any other ratio that we have found.  We find that Corn Media Size 10/14 mixed with Walnut Media Size 12/20 does the best job.

3.  Customers initially put too much Media Modifier products in the tumbler with their media. We try and put the directions on a separate label on the side of the bag.  Less is more with Media Modifier products.  For untreated media use no more than 1/4 (1/8th ounce) of the enclosed scoop to to 3 pounds of media.  Use 1/2 scoop for 4-6 pounds of media.

4.  Many customers rejuvenate media every time they clean dirty cases.  Only rejuvenate media when the cleaning process slows down and only use a couple of pinches.  Once your media is treated do not use the scoop that we include.

5.  It is important that the cases rub against each other to achieve the maximium cleaning
results. That means that you have to have a lot of cases in with the media.

Overall, we are finding that the less is more with Media Modifier products and better results will be achieved.
Don't Forget To Wipe The Inside Of The Tumbler Bowl Each Time
You Finish Cleaning A Batch Of Dirty Cases
When rejuvenating treated media start by adding only a pinch or two of Media Modifier. The combination of Media Modifier Ultra-60 and Champions Grade Media Blends is the finest
treated media on the market today.  The combination of Ultra-60 added to a 50-50 mix of corn cob media and black walnut media is perfect.  Use Media Modifier C/PX When using either corn by itself, walnut by itself, or treating other manufacturers' treated or untreated media. C/PX does work well with Champions Grade Media Blends but Ultra-60 does a quicker and better cleaning with Champions Grade Media Blends.

And remember a 5 ounce container of Media Modifier products treats 60-80 pounds of media.
Using Media Modifier Core-Cut
Using Media Modifier Core-Cut is just as simple as using any and all of the other Media Modifier products.  Using Core-Cut is the initial step if you want to get stains out of your cases.

Core-Cut works best with black walnut media.

The amount of time it takes for Media Modifier Core-Cut to do the job depends on the nature
and severity of the stain or discoloration, the tumbler and the media you are using.  With Core-Cut we recommend using 1 full scoop (1/2 ounce) for 5-7 pounds of media.  For less than 5 pounds use 1/2 scoop.

Be patient to obtain the results. You can try corn cob media but walnut media seems to do a better job.

Once your cases are clean they will have  satin finish.  Put some fresh media in your tumbler and use either Media Modifier C/PX or Champion's Grande Media Blends treated with
Ultra-60.

Example:

As an experiment we cleaned 400 .45 Long Colt cases for 6 hours. Then we cleaned out the tumbler bowl as we described hereinabove then we cleaned a large batch of .38/.357 range brass and did not add any Core-Cut.  We followed all the insructions as described at the top of this web page.  In two hours they had a perfect satin fiinish.  So, as we always say:
"Media Modifier Products go a very long way".
